Purpose:
The Home Screen serves as the primary interface for monitoring the system layout and operational status of connected devices within the facility. It provides a visual representation of the site floor plan, allowing users to identify the condition of each unit at a glance.
Screen Layout:
Top Bar: Displays the active site identifier (e.g., Sandhurst Junior 2 LM 1)
Top Bar Per Widget: provides a refresh control on the upper right corner to update data in real time.
Left Navigation Panel:
Home – Returns the user to this screen from any menu.
Monitoring – Opens the detailed monitoring dashboard for sensor and device data. See section 5.2 for detail on this page.
Cloud Connectivity – Manages the connection status between the EUT and the cloud server.
Settings – Accesses system configuration and administrative options.
Main Display Area:
Shows the floor plan labelled as Ground Floor. Please scroll down to see separate widgets for further Floors.
Each circle marker represents a monitored space, which is composed of multiple Devices and Objects that collectively determine the overall health of that space.
Users can select a circle marker to view detailed information about the specific Devices and Objects associated with that space.
For a comprehensive list of all of the Objects available please see Appendix C.
Colour Indicators:
Indicator | Meaning | Description |
? Green | Normal Operation | The space and all associated Devices and Objects are functioning correctly and complying with the control strategy. |
? Orange | Warning / Intermediate Condition | One or more parameters within the space are approaching operational thresholds or deviating slightly from the control strategy. Attention may be required if the condition persists. |
? Red | Fault / Non-Operational | The space is not complying with the control strategy due to a fault, communication loss, or a non-operational Device. Immediate attention is required to restore proper control. |
Details of the specific Logic associated with specific Objects are as follows:
Object Name | Logic summaries |
Current_Temperature floorplans | if setpoint = 7 and temperature < 5 then |
PIR_Input_1_Status | if value = "No Leak" then |
On/Off_Status | if on_off_status = "Heating Demand" and switch_button = "Heating On" then |
Switch/Button | if on_off_status = "Heating Demand" and switch_button = "Heating On" then |
ASHP 1 Table | if alert then |
ASHP 2 Table | if alert then |
Flamco/Degass | if alert then |
Pyranometer | if alert then |
Hot Water Schematic | if alert then |
User Prompts and Actions:
- Select a circle marker to open detailed space information, including Devices, Objects, and their individual performance metrics.
- Click the Refresh icon to manually update all status indicators and ensure live data accuracy.
- Navigate to the Monitoring, Cloud Connectivity, or Settings tabs using the left panel for deeper analysis or configuration.
- The colour coded space indicators are dynamically updated based on live system feedback.
- Deviations from the control strategy may result from hardware issues, communication failures, or incorrect configuration parameters.
- Consistent monitoring of the Home Screen enables early detection of system inefficiencies and ensures optimal control compliance.
